Good job One Ton slow but sure... sending strong vibes get well and for better liver values. (((Karen))) hang in there.

He is improving verry slowly but surely... I'm crossing my fingers and toes for improved blood work. I'll let you all know how it goes. He's getting really really thin, eats little meals in the afternoon and evening and has to be syringe fed in the mornings. I'm feeding things like different flavor canned foods, cooked rice & meats, etc etc. It's a struggle to get nearly enough calories into him. He definately gets nauseus in the mornings.

Karen, you might want to see if the vet will give you some anti-nausea meds for him. I know you probably don't want to give him more meds, but he might need it just because he's on the heavy duty pain meds. (Frisby had to take anti-nausea drugs when she was on all the drugs when first diagnosed with IMHA; it helped.)  You both are doing great! Keep eating One Ton!

great news... liver values (ALT) went from the many thousands to 16! One of the other liver values is still high but the vet said that was due to the infection/cell damage floating around. The Kidneys are not better, in fact they are a little worse but he was not concerned about that since he'd just come off the fluids and the original was pulled when he had had three bags of fluids. He got a steroid shot, B12 shot, his neck shaved and anti-nausea drugs. They are very pleased with how he is doing and want me to do physical therapy with teh leg - get a large bin and make him stand on it in water. They were able to get him to place a teeny bit of weight on it and they say that the veins around the main vein will grow larger to get blood to the tissues even thought the big one is damaged and are happy that the nails are still pink and alive so there's even hope for the leg!

That is the kind of news I like to read. Karen you are doing so good. I am so happy for you and him. Keep up the good work. His body is really cooperating with your mommy loving and the treatment. Yay!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome, awesome news!!! Yay One Ton!. The reason I had mentioned B vitamins in my other post is because they're water soluble and if he's peeing a lot because of his kidneys, he may need some. Sounds like your vet took care of it.

One of the other liver values is still high but the vet said that was due to the infection/cell damage floating around.

Jessie's alkaline phosphatase was high (about 500), when she was recovering from pneumonia. The vet said it was probably because of the infection. It was back to normal several weeks later.
