A special person has lost the battle

I never met Vicki but she was a very special person.  She battled cancer for much longer than the Doctors expected.  You see she felt like she had a mission and that mission was to bring hope and inspiration to many in the NW Arkansas area.  Once she was no longer able to keep up her blog, her husband did it for her.   Many of the women and men I work with followed her progress, both good and bad. Many were personal friends with Vicki.

Vicki lost her battle with cancer on Sunday evening, with her friends and family gathered round singing and telling stories of happy times.

Please say a prayer, or send some of those all powerful Idog vibes to the family today as they lay Vicki to rest.  She was not sad about going to meet her maker, she was a rock to her family.  As much as they knew it was coming...they will still need lots of support in the coming months.  It is hard for a care giver to remember what life should be like once their loved one has passed on.  Special prayers to her husband who was constantly by her side.

It can be so very difficult for the survivors -- and particularly when "care" dominated everything.  I will most definitely be in prayer for her family -- in fact, you can tell them there is a royal blue stickie on my printer for them!
