As others on FB know, I called Callie yesterday. She did sound very good and upbeat. The potential realease date is saturday, so I am here at home today, praying she does indeed get to go home tomorrow.

I've had trouble getting on the forum the past couple days (is it my PC or are there technical issues?).  And, I don't have a Facebook account, so I'm just seeing this news now.  Callie, I'm so sorry to hear that you're dealing with some kind of nasty, painful skin infection.  I hope they get to the bottom of it soon, that it's not MRSA, and that you are back home with David and your pups ASAP.  I'll keep you in my thoughts and am sending very strong healing vibes from Oregon all the way to Florida.  After all you've done for so many of us on this forum, I'm sure you'll be on the receiving end of a gazillion vibes and prayers from all over the continent!  Take care and get better soon!

Not to derail the thread, but http://forum.dog.com/forums never stopped working and you can get here via that URL.  If you were using http://community.dog.com/forums that's what broke with an update on dog.com's ecommerce platform, it seems.  They're addressing it, but clearly the site is running A-OK.  Both URLs have been in existence all along.

Yeah - it IS MRSA -- it's all cellulitis (but MRSA just plain makes it the worse ever!). 

today they put in a "PIC" line (scarey iv port that sorta dumps all the drugs near my heart) -- it's more permanent (works better with these particular drugs).

you reallly CAN call me if you want -- But be prepared that I may have to call you back (999 things like meds, surprise blood draws, and other lovely soulful things).
