I know it's going to be so hard on them, but I also know it's going to be so GOOD for them. I can't imagine dropping my 7 year old child off and having to drive away... knowing he won't be home for months. I don't know how often she can visit. I think my mom is going along with for support. Hopefully I'll get some more details next week.

 Oh Jano I am so sorry for all involved - poor Tim and his poor Mom - we are sending everything we've got their way - and to the rest of the family as well!

I have a little update. I guess they had an interview and they think it's only going to be a 30-45  day stay. I really really hope it helps. I know it's not going to be an instant-fix kind of thing, but I just hope they can get some solid progress.

It could be extremely helpful to get the child out of the stressful situation....sometimes we have NO clue how badly impacted they are by upheaval in the home and it sounds like the dad has done a major number on him.  Fingers crossed and continued prayers for feet on the right path and a PLAN to keep him there!

 Jan I am so glad they have reduced the projected stay.  This will be tough enough on everyone.  Hopefully they can make some inroads and set up a plan to help him succeed in life.
