Thoughts for Bevo

How do you mask down a dog that size? LOL The one experience I had with masking Emma down was unpleasant, to say the least. Of course, she was never one to just allow people to "mess with" her.

I'm glad Bev is feeling so good! Lots more good vibes for good lab results.

Bev is feeling fine today.  He's been a royal pita today.  (Which is one of the 1,000,000,000 reasons that I love him!)  He's been causing trouble & into everything.

LOL....keep bugin your mom Bevo.  She luvs it!  hehe

I'm confident that you'll make all the right decisions for Bevo and then some.  Sounds like he's in great hands.

LOTS & LOTS of prayers and good thoughts for you both.

That's great news!  I've heard that masking down is a great way to do it if you can get away with it.  I think it was Callie that said it here and I've also heard it other places too.

The best vibes possible are headed Bevo's way to make sure his surgeons have all the power they need to do the most good with the least harm.  I don't want any more bad news on idog for a long time, so hoping our collective thots will have an impact and smack down all the crap that could happen to any of our great dogs!

Now that's really good news!  You keep on being a pita, Bev.

Big, positive vibes for Bevo and healthy, healing thoughts for your handsome pita!!

Sending lots of positive vibes for Bevo--what good news that the bone isn't involved!  Bevo, don't drive your mom completely nuts  :-)

You sure have an amazing team of vets that works for you! Wow... a little jealous up here in Northern NH where we have, well, one! I was amazed that your surgeon travelled with you. Great to read the update that they can remove the cartilage, silly question, but can they put anthing synthetic in there to substitute?... here's hoping for great lab results.

We're thinking about you and Bev.

I'm just catching up on this thread about Bevo . . . sending belated good vibes to all of you, including the surgeons who will treat him.  As the others have said, you have wonderful veterinary care -- you're so lucky to know they truly care and go the extra mile like that (literally).  Good boy, Bevo . . . I'm glad you're feeling well enough to give your Mom a little bit of trouble!  Smile

I really do have great vets working on him.  My best friend is an orthopedic surgeon.  It helps that I can always count on her support & help whenever I need it.

The samples came back today, & were inconclusive, so we went ahead & did the surgery this afternoon.  When we got in the leg, we found something wrapped around a blood vessel.  It was a difficult, tedious surgery, (everything was done with the aid of microscopes, it was VERY  cool) but we are hopeful that the entire thing was removed.  We did not have to go into the joint, as expected, which was a very good surprise.  One surgeon has no guess as to what it was.  The other surgeon thinks that it *might* be hypertrophic muscle, which would be a fantastic diagnosis.  The tumor will go out to the lab tomorrow morning, & then we will wait to see what they find.

While Bev was down, we removed two other small tumors on his side.  Those were much easier surgeries than the leg was!

The big monster is waking up well.  We did have to bandage his leg because "Mr. OCD" wouldn't stop licking his sutures. Confused

So glad the surgery went well.  Good thoughts coming from Michigan!

Hey, hey, there will be no calling that sweet boy a monster, you hear?  Big Smile  Keeping my fingers crossed for good news.

Oh, if he messes with the bandage, try rubbing a little Ben Gay on it.  Wink

Amanda, this is great to hear!  So glad the surgery went well and didn't involve as much as was expected.

Now we just gotta send you all some positive vibes for the samples to come back as nothing serious.

    LOL...the big monster!

     That's great news!

Now stop being a goober and leave your owies alone, mister.

Bevo -- I'm gonna tell your Mom to slip you some Calms Forte to give her a break!!

Seriously tho -- got any hypericum??  (Aside from the Traumell I KNOW he's getting)  I've often found that homoepathic hypericum can take the "worry" out of them messing with something you don't want them to mess with without drugging them.

And if THAT doesn't work, tell him I'll send him his very own Texas Tinkerbell to SIT ON HIM and keep him busy.  And she'll sit here on him ... and she'll move and sit THERE on him ... and then if all else fails she'll back her butt up to him and sit on his neck ... or under his chin ... he'll never EVER know what part of him she will sit on next.

And Cher will will just stand there and LAUGH at him (and that really will mess with him!!)
