Talus update...

    Talus update...

    The boy is home...
He has eaten, he has taken all 6 of his meds....(wow, I can't believe how many pills there are going to be)
    and he is snoring away...

We got home around 7pm, traffic was chaotic, we took a longer, calmer drive home....

Talus MUST be a couch potato for the next little while, no visitors (physical anyway, i-doggers always welcome), no
long walks, just total calmness...No stairs other than to pee outside, so we have moved everything to the upper level
    of the house...

He is still having ventricular fribulations and needs to have his meds for that upped slowly...If he gets too worked up, he
could still collapse or even worse...
But, he is home, safe and sound and I am grateful for that...

All kisses were delivered, (2 for mrsj.), and will continue to be delivered several times daily...
I will continue to update all of you and will try to load pics tomorrow...

Again, thanx to all of you....

Maria, Tim and the big man, Talus....

Calm, quiet vibes for Talus then :)

Gentle, soothing pets for our Tallyman. Take 'er easy, buddy.

Maria -- some of the meds Billy was on produced a very similar effect -- they flatly told me at one point that once they get the body to stop killing the blood that the dogs who "die" of IMHA do so because of heart reaction to the meds.  Lovely!

But -- he made it thru and stabilized.  There was some heart damage -- not what Talus is facing (altho I did that with Ms. Socks for almost seven years -- and when we took her they told me she had a month!!)

Love and security -- they do SO much for this.  And prayer  ... oh my yes!!

If anyone wants to go to the candle website and light one for Talus click here - it stays for 48 hours and you can go back as often as you wish.

    Big Smile

So glad he is home!  Gosh...I would hate to have to keep Gibby calm and quiet!  After dinner when I want him to be the calmest is when he gets the zoomies and the more I try to get him to settle down...the more he zooms!

But he is a crazy guy!

So glad the big guy is home.

Welcome back home Talus!  Many kisses coming your way!

Maria, I just read your email this morning --- I'm so grateful you sent it because I haven't been on the forum in a few weeks and would've missed this.  I was afraid to log on in case your update wasn't positive, so I was thrilled to see this thread and hear that Talus is home and resting comfortably.  I can't even imagine (well, actually I can) how worried and exhausted you must be feeling . . . . and to have TWO very trying things going on simultaneously has to be taking every last cell of energy you can muster.

I will continue to keep Talus and Tim's mother in my thoughts and prayers, and I'm sending you and Tim strong vibes so you can face each day and what's ahead with Talus' medical treatments and Tim's Mom's journey.  One little thing on the bright side -- giving Talus a lot of pills should be relatively easy since he loves to eat and you can hide the pills in his food or treats.  It would be awful if you had to wrestle with him to get him to swallow meds!

Talus, if we could, we'd give you 1,000 kisses on your nose and rub your ears . . . . get your rest and enjoy a lazy, relaxing lifestyle as long as it takes to help your heart!  You can have a all the massages you want and cozy up with Mom & Dad for hours!  xoxoxo
