Prayer & good thots for Indie pretty please? (Aunt Callie)

Lori suggested it and I'm going to try to climb out of my shy introverted self for a minute and just DO this!! (Deb and her 2X4 -- I deserve to get smacked for that one!)

There is a dog Indie, who has IMHA. Indie's humans have truly gone way way beyond for this dog. Indie is at the University of NC presently with IMHA and he's developed an infection in his heart. MORE experimental drugs and they're running out of options (and money).

That's a reference point if you want to read a bit more. This dog needs prayers and good thots and his humans need the encouragement as well. These folks have truly done it all for him and it's a bit of a turning point here. Whatever you feel comfortable with (and those of you who know how to do that candle vigil thing that would be awesome as well?? Amanda -- didn't you set that up once online?)

You guys are the best and this IS what we're all good at!!! Get strong and get better Indie!!!!!

Come on Indie!!!! You can do it...your humans are doing everything they can think of so its up to you to get that strong will to live to kick in!

I have been on here for several years and never knew about the Candle site. I have heard all of you talk about it but didnt understand til now.

As I said in my candle -- with our hands on the keyboards in a very strong and real way we are all connected electrically. Th.at is powerful -- whether you are comfortable with prayer or good thots or whatever it really does so much.

For me it's about prayer. And it's about support and helping others know not only that they are thot of but that we're behind them and we UNDERSTAND.

When Billy was sick I relied on this board so much (so did David -- he never posts but he READS all the time) People here understood what we were doing and were supportive -- we didn't feel crazy and whether it was silly messages that our student could 'read' to Billy or just helping me know others were with us - it made a huge difference.

Folks on here are passionate -- and will deny themselves to help their dogs. So we understand the questions like what do we do now? should we do more? should we ask it of the dog - cos he seems willing? Is it my imagination or is he wagging his tail a little more today? What are we doingn to OUR finances? Ack ... how CAN we do more? What SHOULD we do? What will tomorrow bring?

Knowing you have someone else who has been there or who at least doesn't think you are crazy -- man, that IS support.

C'mon Indie, sweetie. Try hard. Wag a bunch! There are bunches of peoples and dogs who truly want you to get better and keep tryiing!! You are a GOOD boy !!!
