 We're sending you lots of strong, healthy thoughts from over here. I'm so, so glad to hear the good news.

Whew is right! I was so relieved to hear that Charlie is doing well today. I had a knot in my stomach driving to work this morning worrying about how the night might've gone. I will continue to pray that the recovery goes smoothly.

Thanks for dropping by to update us, Jackie. I'm so glad he made it through surgery and is lucid. Yay for toe wiggling too! I'll be continuing to pray for a speedy and complete recovery. ((hugs!))

I talked to Jackie on my way home and caught her when she *could* talk

SHE SAYS THANK YOU ALL ****SO VERY MUCH****!!!!!  Your support, the prayers and good thoughts have made ALL the difference.  This is amazing!

He's **verbal** (talked to his brother for quite a while on phone).  Then they got him to sit up in bed with no problems.  THEN they put him in a chair -- no problems!! 

THEN he decided to go to the bathroom -- he WALKED FOLKS!!!!!

He's very very weak -- "they have cautioned he is NOT out of the woods yet!"  but his responses today are nothing short of absolutely amazing and remarkable -- ALL that could be hoped for!

He will be in ICU another week.  Then likely in hospital another two weeks. 

But she asked me to post.  She says please don't stop praying and thinking good thots -- they are SO powerfull! 

She asked me to post.  I know what hospital he's in -- but he's in ICU so he can't get anything 'good' anyway yet.  But sending cards to her home?  She was THRILLED and it will mean SO much to Charlie.

Twister has gone with a "special friend" (hmm, a dog named 'hurricane' needs special care?  Imagine that??? *grin*)!!  The other two are being taken care of by another friend. 

Family has come to help her -- she's doing well.  She was obviously VERY tired (thots for good sleep for her won't go amiss!) but very happy because this could have been so dire.  They quoted her a 50% mortality rate ... and then all kinds of damage potential beyond that. 

Folks never ever doubt it -- there is so much power in prayer & good thots. 

Thank you Callie!  I agree...there is much power amongst us in offering our thoughts and prayers.

I don't ever doubt it and I'm just so thankful that he's done so well. I know just enough about what happened to know that he was very blessed to have been with people and not alone and to have gotten to the hospital quickly. I haven't stopped thinking of and praying for the both of them since we got the news yesterday and I won't stop until they're all together at home again.

  My god, I froze when I read that.  So very thankful he's able to do so much - it has to give some tiny relief to Jackie's mind that he's on such a positive trend.  Thoughts and prayers will not stop.  Candle gets lit again tonight with an extra wish for restorative sleep for Jackie.  Thanks for sharing the update, Callie, we appreciate it!

Puppers, be good while you're away.  Rex, you always make your mom proud, so we expect you'll continue this trend.

Stop praying?  As if!! 

I thot I had cards in the house, but didn't so I sent a little note today but also stocked up on cards.  Receiving cards from a bunch of folks she'd never heard of meant the world to my niece when she was fighting to keep her toe/foot.  We'll flood Charlie with cards!  And Jackie too of course, because SHE is the one in the worst place right now.

I'm also lighting a candle daily that burns until DH hits the hay.  That's Charlie and Jackies candle, and I may retire it when he gets to go home!

Jackie you silly woman why would anyone stop praying and sending vibes to you all??  Try to sleep as it will help you both if you feel more rested.
