    Agnes needs i-dog vibes (Update)

Agnes was very restless during the night.  This morning she would not eat.  Her tummy is growling (very loudly), but she refused anything I tried to give her.  She didn't even want water.  She didn't really want to go for a walk, but humored me and went around the block.  Last night she seemed okay.  She has been coughing a bit more and she does seem to have a lot of drool.

I know I am a worry wart and probably panic too much about her health.  I just know how frail she is and I'm a little scared.  I'm calling the vet now.

I saw all the posts in the Secret Santa about wanting to spoil Agnes and I am in tears

Please send all the idog vibes you can.  I don't want to lose her yet, but I know it is really not up to me.  Trying to keep the serenity prayer in mind...

I will be thinking of Agnes for sure ((hugs)).

I will say that Tiki goes through 'phases' like this too, where she doesn't want to eat or do too much - I think they just get tired sometimes. I would be worried about the drooling, though I think that's a sign of nausea - and if she hasn't eaten in a while she might be nauseated by now.

Ohhh, baby girl!  Feel better real soon!

Tina, you have so many good vibes coming from me.  Maghee also has days like Agnes & I panic & run her off to see Dr. P.  PLEASE let us know what the Vet says.  She's Maghee's heart sister so it Tiki.

Oh Tina, I'm so worried for sweet Agnes.  I will be praying that it's not something serious.  Sending you and your girl my strongest vibes.

Anges, dearheart -- keep stroking, keep trying, keep moving forward, ok?

Tina -- same thing to you.  We can't help but worry -- it comes with the territory.  You've got my good thots and prayers this morning as always.

We're back from the vet.  He thought nausea, too.  I was almost in a panic when I went home to pick her up because there was a small amount of watery vomit with what I thought was blood in it on one of the pee pads.  I took the pad with me, doc didn't think it was blood.  She got two shots and an antacid to give her.  When we got home and she settled I gave her a couple small pieces of liver treats, which she ate.  She is still up and around, not lethargic, but he said if she didn't seem better tomorrow to bring her back in.  Overall her heart and lungs sounded very good and doc didn't feel anything abnormal on her abdomen or kidneys.  If she is not better tomorrow, we will do bloodwork.

I have chamomille, so will make her some tea tonight.  She is still very alert, so that's a good sign.   Thank you for all the vibes, please continue if you can.

I hope the meds help her soon.  Agnes, Aunt Jackie here.  If you drink too much champagne it can cause you to feel yucky the next day.  Just saying old girl.......

I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, Tina.

Was one of the shots the anti-nausea shot? Dr. B gives it to Pirate when he has the tummy funk and it always perks him right up. Try something bland for supper, Pirate and Tiki like mashed white potatos (no skins, Mom!) and a scrambled egg.

Have you tried a t-shirt or sweater? Tiki gets cold VERY easily - even in Florida! If it's damp or cool at all I put a sweater on her. I think because their hearts don't pump as well, they get cold easier and that probably makes our old ladies achey.

I hope she feels better tonight.

    Jackie - ROFL!

Meg, yes one shot was anti-nausea.  Her diet is pretty bland anyway - beans and rice, chicken and rice, fish and rice.  Lunch is usually oatmeal.  She's not fond of being covered, but will try a shirt.
