Billy the Venturin e.c.s-YELL needs prayers & good thots

 Well I'm late as usual, but I just wanted to say... G'boy, Billy! Stay strong and we'll keep on praying for you.

I just got a call from Billy's "favorite tech" (Tom) -- his hematacrit is an AMAZING 42.5 (it just couldn't BE more perfect).  And his platelets are like 275 (close to that) which isn't high nor low. 

PHEW.

That's just a partial they called with tonight but it relieves SOME of the pressure.  I said to Tom "Sooo it doesn't say anything at the top like "This dog must have Super Glue in his blood??" or anything and he said Nope.

Sooooo we wait til tomorrow but at least we know SOMETHING positive ("good";) -- we don't know what's going on but at least we know a couple of things that could have been way 'bad' and are not.

 

This is excellent, and NOT unexpected for me.  I KNEW he would be OK with you taking care of him!!

 I just seen this! I don't come on much anymore, but I will send good thoughts and keep Billy in my thoughts for a great outcome!!!

Great news about those preliminary blood results.  I think we all just breathed a collective sigh of relief!  Fingers crossed that the news continues to be encouraging!

Thank you SO much folks -- I just wanted to say over here that I appreciate the prayers and good thots SO much -- we could have been seriously in trouble if this hadn't been noticed AND had Dr. Demers not been available (he's semi-retired and I can't get hold of him like I can the other two vets).  But HE is the pro at this and I would have been devastated if we couldn't have kept this steroid-free. 

Now if we can just get the liver values down without it being a problem -- that too is a matter for prayers and good thots if you guys will continue to lift him up!! *hugs*  Thanks!!

You help so many people of this board that I knew he was in the best hands possible.   Lots of good jingles from me and my birddy girls to help get him good as new again.
