Prayers for my grandson

. I hope he continues to do well and can go home today.

Thanks Cathy; he's been discharged and is on his way home!!!! The doctor who sent him to Riley is the same one who removed a tumor from my son's neck a few years ago; he's an excellent doctor but felt that it was best to send Ayrton to Riley's.

Ayrton had the flu 2 weeks ago and never seemed to completely recover. That's probably when the infection in his lymph node started, and then got progressively worse until it made him so sick this week. He's on antibiotics and should be fine now.

Being a grandma myself I soooo know what you are going thru , I have a healing candle lit and prayers in the "air"  please keep us posted about your little guy and G'ma be careful don't go overboard buying a million balloons etc for his room if he has to stay in the hospital... some grandkids will "get sick " for attention when They realize what a haul they can make off of us Grandfolk !!  Hang in there and  and be really strong, his parents will be silently looking at you for guidance ...  There is NOTHING harder than having a sick baby.  That little odl Grand marker makes zero difference ecept I think we are free'er to feel their pain and fear more than we were allowed to for our own kids.

A HUGE hug for YOU and tons of positive vibes for the baby!

Bonita of Bwana Doctor keep watching !!

Sometimes I truly have the MOST respect for a vet or doctor who can pull back his own hands and say 'Oops -- THIS one needs to go to someone bigger/better/**more** than I am!! -- when ego doesn't get in the way.  This is awesome news!!!

All of you are so awesome; thank you so much. His fever is gone; he slept through the night and is acting like himself again.

That's so true; I've seen it many times when my children were young and also with the grandchildren.

Bonita; Thank you for the candle and prayers, and thank you for the pic; it's really cute.Big Smile

Callie; Dr. Bremmer has treated Aryton before, putting tubes in his ears, so when he recommended sending him to Riley's it surprised everyone but we trust him, and of course we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

By the way, in case anyone's interested, the helicopter ride, which only lasted about 30 minutes, cost $10,000 !!!! They think the insurance will cover it, but wow!!!!!!!!
