Oh Laurelin -- this was the first post I looked for -- Oh dearheart I am in tears with you. Sometimes with all the best we can do something just 'Happens'. It was his time to race across The Bridge and I know specifically my Foxy the Mostlie Sheltie and my Pollyanna met him. Polly went fast like that -- we only had her 3 months and she had a stroke and died in our arms one night. Her injuries from her abuser were just too great. But with such a quick but huge onset there's no knowing what really happened.
Laurelin -- today you probably can't even 'feel' ... but he went in his sleep. That is such an incredible blessing. No fear. No pain. No trauma. Just waking up on top of that Bridge with a bunch of furry bodies at the bottom to explain things to you.
Your tribute thread is gorgeous. My heart breaks for you -- but rest assured, he knew how much you cared and how much you were trying to do for him. *gentle hugs* We're here when you want to talk.
