Improvement is great news!!!  How's he doing today?

 Still in good spirits. His color is holding steady..may be a little more pink, hard to say. Still has a good appetite and taking his meds well (even if he thinks sucralfate is gross)

He had a snack of beef heart today, though he grabbed more than he was intended to have and was then a stuffed Grimmy. 

He gets a recheck tomorrow :)

Awww, a greedy Grimmy is good news.  Please don't tell him he's sick.  He obviously doesn't know & that's playing in his favor, I think.  Give him some rubbies from me & we're sending so many good vibes for Grimminy Cricket.

Trust me -- everbuddy will like beef heart!!  down here in Senior Citizen Heaven where I live it's pretty easy to find!! Because at $1.69 a pound it's cheap meat for the humans!! LOL

But since it's considered muscle meat it's not somethine you have to ration.

BTW -- hummus -- it rocks.  It's high in iron, has garlic and most of them LIKE it! LOL

 His pcv was 14 and his platelets 17,000 today. He should really be having a transfusion, but after a wild goose chase, there's no blood to be found. The artificial blood product isn't available here anymore either. So, we have blood coming from Hemopet that will get here Saturday.  Hopefully he holds steady. He's in good spirits at least

The artificial blood honestly isn't wonderful -- this is anecdotal, but I honestly haven't seen a dog do *well* on it yet at all. 

You know to watch for acites?  And I'm assuming you know that he may get nauseus if the PCV gets *really* low.
