Thanks everyone for sharing in the celebration. Here is an update from the volunteer's blog as of late Wednesday evening:
Spike is doing very well! He remains under the vet's care, but today's report is that he is bouncing back to being his old self. He wants to play, is eating everything in sight, and has become a favorite of the office staff. He even got to roam around the office today. He will soon be released to be boarded until next Wednesday when Elizabeth will pick him up and take him to his forever home in Washington. Spike's story is remarkable in many ways. The phrase that keeps going through my mind, given the caring and determination of so many is, "for the love of a shelter dog."
I'm really hoping the blog will have a photo of him with his new family soon!
Speaking of photos -- a P.S. to Janice: I still don't know how to post them! The photo in my earlier post was already uploaded in the volunteer's blog -- I just highlighted and pasted it into my post. I've got to get with the program one of these days and figure out how to post photos "from scratch!"
Note: Edited with the blog update on Thursday morning.
