Yeterday was very rough for DH because we had the internment. Per her specific instructions there was no funeral, no graveside service, however, we did have a deacon from th Church say a blessing and prayers. More than she wanted I'm sure, but less than DH wanted to do. I have to say that for the first time in many years, we were able to share a trip with MIL that wasn't unpleasant due to her griping about everything, or needing a bathroom stop....NOW. Her remains traveled in the backseat from ME to NH along with me and Todds ex. To make this trip even wierder, we stopped for a few hours sleep very early this morning at the home of my exes ex....who isn't even home, but rather in NY City....where we dropped DS earlier in the evening. I'm probably confusing everyone, but honestly, I'm not on drugs....this all happened.
This has been a very difficult trip, and DH is having a hard time, but, one day at a time. I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers through the last several days and months. We are 15-16 hours from home, and I can't wait to be there....cramped and crowded as it is, it's still home!
