my dog does no use his two rear legs - does not eat

My dog does not use his two back legs, and also does not eat, only drinks. What could be the problem? I have no lisence for the dog, if it dies, what should I do with it?

What you really need to do is get your dog the vet ASAP! I know I would be. You're vet can give you options on what you can do with your dog so you can decide what is best.

Your dog may well have a herniated disc. GEt him to the vet NOW.  As for the license, the vet won't care.

In your post in the health section, you said that x-rays were taken. What did the vet tell you then? Was the dog's spine checked? Given the conditions, this dog needs to get to the vet asap. Don't worry about having a license. Get to the vet right away.

How long has this been going on? You mentioned X rays in another post.. the vet didn't say what he or she thought could be wrong with it??? and the vet let you take it home with no plan of care?

As far as not having a liscense... vet's don't care about that. If you are unable or unwilling to get this dog to the vet for care... please call your local ASPCA and turn the dog over to them for care. I don't say that to be mean, just please get this dog some treatment. Don't let it just lie there and wonder what to do with it after it dies...PLEASE

    ASPCA

The vet said the cost of finding the problem would be close to 1K, that's too much for us to afford. We're looking for a place where they would take care of him, but we do no have a licsence for this dog. Would the VET still take him? or could someone give me a list of organization that would. ASAP please

    Thank you very much

It has been 2 days. The Vet gave us some medication which we injected into the dog. - Many posts says that if the dog is in pain or sick, it would not eat. Will it start to eat again after a few days?

    herniated disc

I can't believe I even asked that question, but there's so little we could do. It'll cost us close to 1K to find out his problem, but I will call the VET first thing tomorrow and see what are our options.

Something doesn't sound right here.  If the xrays have already been done, then it's simply a matter of READING them and telling you what the problem is.  A bad disk isn't a huge big deal...painful for the dog, yes, but not something that can't be overcome with crate rest and yucky prednizone.

We're not sure where you are located at to give you an idea where to look for help for your dog. Do you have an ASPCA or other animal shelter near you? How about an animal rescue organization.

    How is your dog?
