I guess I'm just noticing this behavior becuase Rory's clinginess since my pregnancy has made it more evident but its pretty fuuny so I thought I'd share and see if anyone has experienced something like this.
When she was younger we used to play hide and seek, I would let out a small whistle sound as few times as possible to try and get her to find me. In her haste she would whine and thats is when I'd respond. We used to do it in the house and at the park.
She also makes the same noise to let her outside and back in the house when she is done pottying. So inadvertently I have taugth her to call to me when she wants me to come open the door or when she is trying to find me.
So since I've had morning sickness it goes like this....
-I wake up, let them out to potty but leave the door open since its been so nice outside
-I then retreat to one of the 2 bathrooms in the house to deal with my morning sickness
-About this time Rory is done pottying and I can hear her rushing back in the house at full speed to check on me. More specifically in comparison to Primo who could care less and settles himself in the sun......which is what she used to do prior to my pregnancy
I've got to say its the funniest thing ever to hear her scampering through the house, she first checks the bedroom, living room and kitchen and if she dosnt find me in those 30 seconds she lets out her call. It is so frantic but oh so funny to me.
So I call her and when she reaches the door of the bathroom I'm in she sniifs SO hard through the door I think she is gonna get splinters in her nose. If I take too long she lets out another cry like "are you ok in there mom lady", LOL before she plops down heavily on the hardwood floor and patiently waits for me
So there I am sick as can be, trying not to laugh at her and soothing her through the door that I'll be just another moment, LOL
I'm sure you can imagine DH finds this very amusing!
