We have crate success!!!

At this very moment as I type this, Maze is laying in her crate with the door open, chewing on a bone when there's an empty spot on the bed where she usually lays. I truely thought I had ruined her towards the crate because when I first got it, I went about training her the wrong way. Now that I've gone back and fixed my mistake, she loves it! *does a dance* I'm not a complete failure!

Of course you're not! We've all made screw-ups.... not everyone can go back and fix them though.... its harder to unlearn stuff than to just learn it IMO!

Congrats! The crate is a tough one because people hate to see their animals locked up. It goes against our freedom gene ;p At the same time a lot of dogs really hate to be locked up too. So you are working against both those ideas to get your dog to love it and you to accept it. So, good job!

Yay! It's such a nice feeling when your dogs love the crate. It sounds like you did a great job with Maze!

Maze is by far one of the HARDEST dogs I have ever raised and I've been raising labs my whole life. I was worried for a bit that I had wasted the money on the crate because she hated it! But now she'll try and push me out when I go in there to do something. Lol. Kinda cute
