    Making Progress (Dog-Dog Aggression)

As some of you may know, Sierra has aggression issues with other dogs. I have a good feeling that it's fear-aggression fueled by the time when I was living with my parents (Sierra was about 6 months old) and their neighbor's all-around aggressive,off-leash Border Collie attacked her in my parents front yard.  She's barked, growled, and lunged at almost every dog she's seen since then.

She's 3.5 years old now, so I've been battling this for quite some time, with little progress.
I just have to say one thing: home-made liver treats are the best thing since sliced bread

I just got back from a walk, at a common dog-walking area (on-leash). We encountered over 15 different dogs in about 45 minutes.
When I saw one in the distance, I took Sierra off the path, about 15-20 meters or so. I practiced commands with her until the dog passed us... and she focused on me the whole time! I couldn't be more proud of her.
Hopefully I can keep this up and gradually decrease the distance between us and the other dog.

I've tried this strategy before without success, but I've also never had a treat that Sierra loved so much. With all the other treats, the dog was more important. Now I am [:)]

Just thought I'd share my happy moment
