PLEASE HELP ME - OLDER DOG PEEING

    • Gold Top Dog
    It is a shame WolfDog.
It kills me to know that there are people out there with this mindset.
However, as much as I hate trolls, I really really really HOPE that this post was made by a troll trying to rile us up, because it tears me up to think that this person has an animal anywhere near them with the mentality that they seem to have.

It was one thing to be frustrated to your wits end, it is a completely different thing to say " that's the facts, nothing is going to change."

I wish a constant UTI on this person.
I get them all the time so I can relate to how this dog must feel. It is NOT pleasant.
(Assuming that it is a medical problem, but even if it isn't. NO animal likes to roll around in their own urine.)

Please, someone help me with this gross dog.
My boyfriend of 2 years has a 9 year old female doberman.  I have recently (since May) been practically living at his house.  Ever since I have known my bf, the house has smelled like dog urine, BAD.  Since I am there frequently, I clean and clean and clean.  It's REVOLTING.  Every once in a while, the dog will pee on my clothes or sleep on my clothes and shoes.
I told my bf that he really should seclude the dog to one portion of the house (I suggested the kitchen since the floor is easily cleanable and her food/water dish is in there).  I do not believe that she should have full run of the house any longer.  He says: she's an old dog and needs to be comfortable.  I say - she's a DOG.
My parents have a yellow lab that had incontenence (in the summer only - odly) who they "fixed" with Prion (spelled totally wrong).  But, my bf says he has no time for getting a urine sample to the vet.
It's getting to ultimatium time.  I can't keep trying to keep a clean house only to come home every night to a urine infested mess.  It gets me sick.  I told my bf that I will NOT bring babies into this environment.
What do I do?  Am I wrong for being this revolted by the messes the dog leaves?  Is it okay to force the dog to stay only in one area and not mess the remainer of the house?

HELP ME PLEASE.  I am ready to kill (not literally) this dang dog!

Your attitude is revolting.  This is his long time devoted companion, and now that she is old, and may be having kidney disease, a UTI, or age-related incontinence, you want to seclude her???  How about the ultimatum NOT being to seclude the dog, but, rather, to take the freaking urine sample to the vet?  Is this idiot going to tell you that he hasn't got time to read bedtime stories to your kids someday?  This is not the dog being revolting, it's the BF being so revolting that he doesn't care for his dog or his apartment.  Irresponsible.  Is this what you want to live with for the next 50 years?

You two are a pair alright[8|]

Your bf is too stupid and lazy to take the dog to the vet, and you want to confine her to the kitchen because she is a problem.
You have gotten the opinions of many dog lovers here on this board, listen to it!!!!

You are right about not bringing babies into this situation, both of you should not be allowed to reproduce, I can just imagine what the babies will go through in your hands.

I have a 13 year old German Shepherd, and he has had problems, I am not a big fan of cleaning up after him, but I took on the responsibility of dog ownership, I owe him a good and pain free life as I do to all my animals.

Maybe this post is a little harsh, but I had to vent[:@]

Not to mention, the time it took to be online yesterday replying, (I thought you were a teacher???) you could have taken urine to the vet.   [>:]

    I had to add this.....

How often does this dog get exercise, it seems like both of you have no time for this dog, and she is just left.

I would like to throw you and you bf in this situation that the dog is in.

You wrote "Gross Dog", it's the two of you that are "Gross", I would like to have used a different word, but I think that is not allowed here.

One more thing, with your attitude you don't belong in any school teaching............

Ok, now I am done.....wew, that felt good.
