Dog Whisperer Season 3

I just wanted to pop in and say I think you guys are doing a GREAT job with this thread in spite of well...I think you know what I mean .. There's my positive feedback!

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing and having what I thought a nice conversation when along comes the same  2 posters that can't help themselves from stirring up trouble.  It is really getting old.  I feel like we're being "tag-teamed" here and then the snide remarks start and it all goes down the tubes.  If  Anne and Glenda don't like CM that's their business.  Not a problem.  But, for the likes of me I can't understand the need to keep baiting people with off the cuff sarcastic remarks and then ;policing this thread with "scoldings" .  It's annoying and as Willowchow said, starting to feel like grade school.

Well all I can do is encourage the discussion of the show...and try to encourage everyone to step around the little piles being left here and there, and rise above! You guys were doing great...and I hope it stays great!

I just remembered when Cesar told the kid after he showed him what he knows about dogs something like "wow, do you want to work for me"? but i bet that after Cesar saw the kid wanting to go for the wrong dog he thought something like "I back off from what i said earlier" hehe [:D]

Willow...I believe, and I may be wrong...that there was another thread (I think it was even a CM thread!) where the word...if you used one beginning with "m" and ending with "n" was levelled at a member, or was felt to be so.

Jaime then added it to list to avoid further insult...I thought at the time it was a move out of frustration with everyone not being able to get along etc. OT I know, and I'm sorry...but I wanted to answer since I did recall the thread.

Thanks Gina.  I got a little more upset with that than I should have I guess.  I can see how that would be very upsetting if it was directed right at someone.

I enjoy the CM discussion.  But, I sort of resent the implication that I'm in any sort of "group" or a "groupie".  There is some stuff about the show that I enjoy and I take away a little dog psychology here and there.  I trained Willow with all positive methods and I've stated that.

Why can't I be for both?  Some things work for some dogs some don't.  I can't imagine getting a clicker out for that blue heeler last night.  And, I'm NOT saying that to say anything against clicker training but there is an example of a situation where that wouldn't of worked.  That dog needed to be put in his place.  He was a danger to humans.   That was one way of doing things and it worked for them.

If it were me, honestly, I wouldn't have a dog like that running around loose but people are going to do what they do.  And, in certain areas that's what it's like.

And yet another...I am a little tired of this training debate, I've said it many times and I will now make one last attempt to stop this tit for tat attitude that is going on here.

There will be a new "Topic" area for those who WANT to talk about CM, where they can be involved with each other and discuss that type of training, the show, his credentials what have you.

I'd suggest those who don't agree with it stay away

    This thread is closed

BTW, Yes, Gina is correct that word was removed...
