"Natural Dog Training" by Kevin Behan

Has anyone read this book? I'm very intrigued. He has some very interesting ideas. His website has quite a lot of information.

And I got onto him from reading, of all things, a mystery book written by a dog trainer, Lee Charles Kelley, who also has quite a bit of information on his website

This stuff will make you do the cute doggy head tilt.... I'm going to try some of it out. It just might be the way to get Sofia to listen to me when there is prey around.

I haven't read it yet, but I know someone who highly recommended it to me:

"The all-time best book on dog behavior and training, IMHO, is Kevin  Behan's "Natural Dog Training."  When I read this, I threw out or gave away all my other training books.  Prey drive is the basis of every  behavior in dogs, and how to *channel* that drive is Behan's topic."

Well, I ordered it this morning from our local bookstore. They'll have it for me by Friday.

I'm very interested in it because it does not go along with all the standard thought about "being the alpha dog" etc.  Like, totally opposite of Cesar Milan. [sm=uhoh.gif][sm=wink.gif]
