help. my foster poodle barks incessantly when someone new comes into the house. he doesn't stop. just when you think he has settled down, you hear him growling quietly. if the visitor moves, just slightly, the dog will bark. he just won't stop. i need help. i have used a can filled with pennies to no avail. i'm afraid no one will want to adopt him if he behaves like this. this is his only bad behavior. it really doesn't bother me. i tend to ignore it.
