    Gwen Bailey

Gwen Bailey is a popular trainer in the UK, as I understand. I don't hear much about her in this forum. Anybody read her books? Would you recommend any?

I like her.  The Perfect Puppy is quite good, used to sell it to a lot of new puppy owners when I worked in a pet shop.  She's also done a good one on "The Rescue Dog" and (I think) "What is My Dog Thinking".  I have met her briefly and she is very nice.

I have that book "The Rescue Dog". It's wonderful -- specifically for people with adopted/rescued dogs, of course. I got it a few months after I actually adopted my dog, but it was helpful nevertheless. It had a great story at the end about her rehabilitating an aggressive dog.

Alright! Sounds like her books are worth checking out. I am surprised that I haven't heard anybody mention her in this forum... yet.

I got her "The perfect puppy" book. I am surprised to see that she considers rules, such as, walking through doors first, eating first, important. Good book though. [X(]
PS. Her views are similar to C. Millan...

Surprised?  There's not a single thing any trainer does which some other trainer doesn't also replicate in some way.

That's because mammals learn by operant conditioning. [;)][:D]
