One of my Tzu's, Willie, has this behavior he does where he will stand on his hind legs, stretch up as tall as he can and "paw" at my leg with both paws. He sometimes does it when he's in an unsure situation, like if I am giving attention to another animal, or when we go into the groomers, which made me think it was an insecurity thing. But he will also do it out of the blue sometimes, or when I first get home from work and he's excited. So, maybe he just uses it to get my attention? If so, it works!
It's very cute, and I don't mind so much, but I don't want him doing this to visitors, (especially in the summer with shorts on!), so I thought I would try capturing it with a clicker and putting it on cue.
Do any of you have any suggestions for a cue word for this?
