I've been humbled! Anne you will appreciate this story

Anne will appreciate this story, as most of you know when I first got Trixie my 9 yr old female she was 7 and a scaredy dog. I came onto these boards and to the world, telling everyone that I trained her not to be afraid of thunder or lightening, and I cured her separation anxiety. NOT! yesterday when Brando was getting his dental I had Trixie w/ me,  I took her to work, she knows these people, she was terrible, reactive not barking (she was debarked when I got her). She wouldn't go for our regular walk, she was just all out terrible. I didn't train her Brando did, what I joke I am!
But don't get nervous Anne I am reading Scaredy Dog, and as God is my witness I will train this dog! or I'll think about it tomorrow.[&o]

Many dogs rely on their sibs to be in charge of taking care of scary stuff.  The trick is to train her separately, without Brando, using the techniques in the book, and be the leader for her that he has already been.  Funny how our dogs tell us what's what if we only listen. And, how cool is it that they speak canine so well to one another while we aren't even looking...  [:D]

I know! I definitely need to train her alone, because I really did teach Brando to be fearless ( I did , I swear.) I need more one on one w/ her. I am having a little confusion w/ the book, but don't want to bother you w/ it right now. Try to get some rest sweetie. And thank you for all your help. When you kiss her in your dreams tonight give that girl a big wet one from me.

Deb, I don't mind helping, even now.  I want everyone to have as good a dog as I had:-))
