    still peeing in the house

Hi there. I'm sure you all remember the female puppy that we have that is humping.  Well I had a question about house training.  She goes outside to use the bathroom. She even goes to the door and lets us know most of the time.  Then some times she won't do anything. She just runs off into the dining room and either pees or poops. Never lets us know, just does it. Why is that and how do I stop it.

Plain and simple, she's not housetrained.  And you are giving her too much freedom too soon.  If she's able to run off to the diningroom to toilet, you aren't doing your job of WATCHING her when she isn't crated.

She is not crated.  Shee is a farm dog. She stays in her pen during the day while we are at work. We let her out in the evenings when we get home so she can feed the cows with us and just run around. She is only in the house at night. She never does this when we are in bed. She only does it when we are awake and she is with us. Most of the time when we see her begin to sneak off we will call her back in the room with us and she'll go to the door.  She knows she is supposed to go outside to do this.  Sometimes I think she is just being honery.

She is NOT being ornery.  She doesn't know better.  This is often a problem with dogs who spend most of their time outside.  They are used to being able to eliminate whenever they need to do so and don't understand that the floor isn't just as fine a place as the grass in the pen.

I would say a little more time is needed for house training also. When inside pay more attention take her out more. Decide on something that your can say to her everytime you take her out or before she comes in like go to the toilet or do wees then when she does praise her, by doing this she will learn and soon she may just go on command.

You have to praise them big time when they have done the right thing so they learn, then if she does it inside be firm and tell her she has been naughty and take her straight outside.

    Good luck

If you don't want to crate train, leash her to your waist when you're indoors at night. That way she's always in sight and if she starts to squat you can rush her outside - I also found that leashing the puppy to me prevented him from going indoors altogether, because evidently he didn't like to pee that close to me. I'm not sure if you mentioned how old your puppy is, but be aware that it takes a pup a few months just to gain full bladder control.
