I have a 12 week old beagle mix that I rescued from a shelter. I have been bringing him around people and kids and he has done really well. The problem is, he has a bad case of Kennel cough. My vet said he is contagious to other dogs until he stops coughing. The cough doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. How critical is it that I socialize him with other dogs at this age?. We live in a suburban neighborhood, and all of our neighbors have dogs, so I really want to prevent any future problems.
