Hi all! This site has such a wealth of information, that Ive been so darn busy reading the past few weeks then actually posting about my CoCo.
Props to all of you! Great job!
CoCo is doing pretty good at being house broken. When she does have an accident inside, it's almost always my fault....not hers since I didnt keep an eye on her.
Yesterday, my father had her outside all morning, so when she was finally inside, I didnt think she would have to potty again...but she ran to the door and scratched at it....I let her out just to see what she wanted...and to my amazement...she went to do number 1 and 2!! Also, at night... she sleeps with me in my bed since I'm a very light sleeper...and dont sleep much anyways... thanks to my insomia.... but the last few nights, she's been holding it for 7-9 hours at the time! Very impressed. She comese up to me in the morning and starts licking my face...which I utterly hate...especially in the morning. lol
Also, she has learned the "sit" command especially if she thinks she's getting a treat, and she can fetch now!! I am amazed. I would say about 75% of the time if you throw her toy, she'll run after it and bring it back for you.
This is my first puppy....so I think she and I are doing a wonderful job! lol (i'm a proud mommy! I tell everyone about her...and I dunno... I think a lot of people think I'm nuts.)
Oh yeah. Also last night... she's not a barker at ALL.... I never really have heard her bark.... only in her sleep... lol. Once she saw her reflecting in the window late at night...and she gave two low throaty bark... But last night? My sister came in my room in the middle of the night to get something. Not wanting to disturb me, she didnt turn on the light...but used her cell phone as a "flashlight" to get what she needed. CoCo obviously had no idea who it was.... was crouched alert on my belly...and gave one low bark at the figure... she then settled down when I pet her and assured her it was okay and when my sister turned on the light, she saw who it was...
Sorry for the rambling...I'm just very happy! It's my first baby!
Calling CoCo to come is working well...but my only problem is her ankle and feet biting which HURTS...I think I may have to try the bitter apple spray... lol
