Ok - so we are fostering three puppies for our local Humane Society for the next three weeks or so. They were strays and found without their mom, estimated to be about 5-6 weeks old, and thought to be pit bull mixes (I think they look mostly hound like, but I can see some pitty in them). Well, they are adorable - we've got the runt of the litter, Daisy, one of the larger girls, Trouble, and a beautiful brindle boy we're calling The Duke.
Well, we want to make sure we do the best we can for these pups - so, any suggestions? We're crating them when we're not home they get let out twice in the morning, around lunch, around 4:30, and around 9 and last around 11:30. Daisy is doing really well with going potty outside, Trouble is doing pretty good wiht it, Duke, not so much.
Should we be doing anything training wise to help them be more adoptable when they go back to the shelter?
Daisy seems to be pretty timid - is that normal for the runt?
Any thoughts on ways to tire them out when they get full into their puppy antics?
