    Potty potty potty

Ok we have a new great dane puppy. She is a sweetie. we have had her less than a week and when we got her home she would go to the door to go out. Well we thought that was great maybe she was getting it. oh she is 9 weeks old. Now she won't go out at all. I would take her out about every 10 or 15 minutes while we were up and tell her good job and give her a treat for going potty. Now when we say potty or bring her to the door she goes running or squats and pees in the house right b4 she is to go out. Now did i make her go out to much when we first got her home? Also when she goes out side she fake pees comes in the house then pees. we use dog stuff to clean it very well. What am i doing wrong.??

Just taking her out every few minutes isn't teaching her anything. you need to watch her every minute. I wrote this out for my breeder and it really works but you need to start all over again. She's still a baby and she's scared so be patient, she's peeing before going out because she's scared it sounds like.  A week is such a little time for a pup to adjust. Did she get hurt, check her collar, leash or harness make sure it's not that. And don't rush her right in after she pees let her have some fun outside too, make sure you always have great treats every time you take her out for when she goes. go under training here and give it a shot. It only took me a week to train my male and he was 18mos. old. and my female 2 weeks and she  was 5 yrs old. This problem sounds very similar to the one we are having.  Our heeler mix is 4 months old.  We've had him since he was 11 weeks.  We have been kennel training and potty training by the book since the day we got him.  He was slowly progressing and starting to tell us when he needs to go out.  There were still some accidents but at least he was improving.  He knows the "go potty" command very well.  We would say "lets go outside" to let him know its time to go out and he was learning pretty well.  Then suddenly about a week ago he seems to almost be rebelling or afraid of being told to go outside.  If we say "lets go outside" he appears to get fearful and tries to walk away or starts peeing right where he is.  He was responding very well to "come".  Now he won't come and will often walk away from us.  If we continue to try to get him to come he will pee.  We can watch him closely when we know he needs to go, and he will hold it until we are out of sight then he will let it go.
Some possible factors we are wondering about:
    1. He was neutered just over a week ago.
    2. It is getting colder outside.
    3. As he's been learning commands, we were getting stricter in making sure he obeys, such as yanking on his collar if he doesn't come right away.

Does anyone have any more answers or reasons why this is happening besides the basics?

Your problems may be worthy of a separate thread as there seems to be more than one thing going on here.

Deb's advice on toilet training is great, so I would recommend checking out her protocol.
It sounds like he's scared of going outside- is there anything that's happened recently that might have freaked him out?The peeing that he does seems to be submissive/fearful peeing.
Also about him running away when you call him- "come" should only be associated with really great things, and when he doesn't come all the time, then you should only call him when you can make him come if he doesn't respond. What you could do is get him to drag a leash/longline, and if he doesn't come when you call, reel him in and then give him lots of praise and treats.
I don't really think yanking on his collar is a good idea because  it can damage his neck and he'll learn that "come" equals yanking/bad stuff, just increase the rewards for him when he does come.

    Sorry to go OT daisydoll!

It sounds like he's peeing because he's scared. As Vinia said if you don't make coming to you a good experience why would he come. You should never yank his collar. Go and pick him up and take him outside, be patient w/ him he's still a baby. I don't know what you mean about training him by the book, so maybe if you can elaborate
on that we can be of more  help.
