We're getting a 2nd dog today that's about 1.5 years old & has never been housebroken. We have a resident dog, alpha female, that's 7 years old.
We know all the rules of housetraining, having gone through it w/ our resident dog. However, I'm a bit concerned as to how our resident dog is going to respond to this.
Mainly I'm worried that if we have the new dog, on leash and in our sights whenever he's out of the crate and in the house w/ us, our resident dog is going to become competitive and possibly resent this dog from being at our side constantly.
Know what I mean?
How to we effective housetrain this dog without our resident dog becoming resentful or jealous???
