My one year old perfectly healthy & happy pomeranian suddenly yesterday began having frequent diarrheal stools (every few hours of extremely soft stools). He had his usual kibble breakfast and later one usual small "treat" (commercial). Since then I have witheld all food (free access to water). He stayed in his crate as usual during the night. But he did waken me at 3am and had another diarrheal stool ("normal size" liquidy and soft).
Because of some business commitments I may not be able to take him to vet until tomorrow.
Should I continue to withhold food? I see on search many here recommend canned pumpkin.
He still seems to be his happy playful usual pommy self. I haven't had this problem before so I don't know how to handle it. Advice appreciated!
