What Would You Like To See?

If you were advising Cesar about next season's shows, what would you like to see?  More follow ups to check on the dogs' progress with its owners?  More celebrity dogs?  More about his pack?  More specifics on behavior modification or training? Just curious what those who like CM might find more entertaining, or informative, if they had the ability to tell him.

Well, I would love to see his center in more detail usually all you see are the same outside areas.  I think that would be really interesting.

That's a great question.  I know I would like to see more follow ups there's always those owners who you wonder if they would follow through.   I enjoy the episodes where he offers his assistance for those who are directly helping dogs (rescues, fosters, etc) or people who are truly just wanting to save a dog.  Those who are rehabiliting and training dogs for service – like the prison show.  Celebrity or not doesn't matter to me it's the content and the solving of that problem I find interesting.  I think Cesar is all about behavior modification and less about training so behavior modification for sure.  I find his pack interesting I am sure he could make a couple shows on that dynamic and it would be interesting to watch.  Less about pink dogs for sure.  More about his center over all would be very interesting too..

Pretty much everything you mention. The celebrity dogs are neither here nor there. They are simply dog owners with problems too.

Oh, I would love to see some guest appearences featuring Patricia McConnell, Karen Pryor, and Suzanne Clothier along with some of the more "dog psychology" folks like Stanley Coren, Myrna Milani, and Bruce Fogel.

I dont think some of them would like to appear in the show [;)], i would also like to see him going to rescuing centers and help the people that work there with the problems they have from dogs that were brought, there is a lot of owners that adopt dogs from places like that and those rescuing centers dont do anything to change the dog's behavior that the dog came with, that way the new owners dont have to deal with the dog's past fears, a lot of dogs are given back because of that

Less individual home instruction, more institiutional training, ie> rescues, shelters, rehabbing fosters...getting to the root of behaviors, before the pups reach the homes, anything more preventative.

Agreed. But the show has already bent to the will of the public and it still isn't good enough. He has more disclaimers on, including finding the style of training that suits the human. Not good enough. He started out showing "red zone" cases and people wanted to know how he handled little problems. So they show those segments and still, not good enough. But I, for one, would certainly like to see comparisons such as you suggested.

More 3 dimesnional truth nuggets for us dog nerds that get frustrated with the simplistic lay out and heavy editing!!

I don't EVER get to see the show.
I saw clips from shows on youtube yesterday and it's entertaining.

I'm thinking about getting season 1 on DVD. Are any of the other seasons available on DVD?

    A rescue show.
Where a dog gets rescued and all the issues are worked on, beginning to end.
It might not make the most exciting show, but I would be glued to the television.

I would like to see that too. I want to see the reality of the time it takes to make a difference with the dog. All the steps taken, etc.

I'd also like to see a detailed show on his new center.  I enjoyed the "Power of the Pack" episode that detailed his old center and the daily routine there.  How they eat, play, exercise, etc....

I also like the shelter idea to take dogs owners have turned in for various reasons and get them into new homes.  I liked the prison episode he did about Pups on Parole.
