Lets start with this little nugget of someone taking a little shot "Oh, and I am curious, as I want to respect people's internet handles but am also a bit of a spelling freak. Is the misspelling of awesome intentional, or can I go ahead and call you Awesomedog? (hiding it under "I'm a bit of a spelling freak") because they really don't have much constuctive to say. That's what "spelling freaks do". I really could careless what you think of my spelling, and sinse I know why your really here, I'll ignore anything else by you. Have fun with my spelling errors. You worry about them, I'll take care of the dogs.

As far as my "handle" goes, it is what it is, that ok with you? "Spelling freak" Or should I leave the spelling part off.

    Have a nice day.[;)]

So I'll ask this of anyone who cares to answer, then I'll tell you some of (not all) how I handled it. You have someone who has a human and dog aggressive 140 lb French Mastiff. You arrive at their home, how would you approach and work with such a dog?

We are awaiting the answer to the question! What did you do? And why can't we have ALL the details?

This is of great interest to me because once again I find this is my home situation with Drizzle my Great Dane.  I am dealing with this scenario on an on going basis and have developed my own approach.  I am a grasshopper so I defer to the masters to compare if I am doing it right.

I was very interested but since you have put it off so long and now that others are baiting, it is no longer going to be a productive discussion.  Maybe a lesson can be learned from this, grasshopper.

I'm probably going to feel stupid when you tell me but what does this mean?  the grasshopper bit?

It's a martial arts thing... DPU as Karate Kid.

Awsomedog, you never answered my question--you just called me a freak because I wasn't sure how to spell your handle.

I addressed you post with the only answer it deserved. < Anything mispelled there?
    • Gold Top Dog
Since you asked, the word "mispelled" is well, misspelled.

This is why she used stimulus control and desensitizing.

    Don't worry about a thing.........[;)]

Awsomedog, this is getting ridiculous, and not worth following any more.  Were you going to enlighten us, as DPU reminded you, or shall we just assume you have no intention of telling us how you would handle an aggressive dog?  Is this going to be a progressive discussion, or just an exercise in baiting on your part, so that you can minimize the contributions you have solicited?

People, this is not a nice thing to do....we call that "Hounding " a person.
When certain members have been asked to provide info, or pics, nothing came of it.
Certain other members jumped to full defensive mode........so...I am thinking, this poster will answer when good and ready, or maybe not at all...........some of you should be familiar with that method....[;)]

I just remembered why I referred to you as a CM follower, because you seem at every opportunity to take an opposing position from Spiritsdog.  My mistake, I should have used obstinate.

You people know how to "Hound".  I need to teach my Marvin (pic in sig) to be hound.  Can you share?  That would make this thread productive.
