• Scout's Lapses in Housebreaking Jeremy Grant Posted : 4/8/2007 6:28:58 PM The first couple of nights, she had an accident each night and then she was doing very well until today.  She's used the bathroom in the house twice in the last three hours, with a trip outside where she peed and pooped both in the middle.  I can't understand.  She's hid away from me once, but the last time, she just walked in front of the TV and did it.  Anyone have any suggestions? • spiritdogs Posted : 4/9/2007 5:20:02 AM Yes - learn how to housetrain a puppy [].  Supervision is key.  You can crate train, use a tether,  reward her for going outside, and NOT punish any "accidents" (the dog learns to be afraid to pee in front of you - not great when you take her outside in a rainstorm LOL).
