    Peepee problem

This is really disgustin. I feel silly to post this but, It is disgusting and it has happened a few times now...so I think Bailey and I need help. I have been finding pee stains on my bed! When ever I find it i quickly use disinfectant or wash it. Today I was in my room and she just hopped up on my bed and peed! I could not believe it! She never did it that obviously before. I am not sure how to handle this. She went down with me to wash the sheets and then I put her in the crate when I came back up. I know I shouldnt punish her - or so the folks here said but this is very disgusting! Please, someone tell me that you have had this problem before. I have owned quite a few dogs in my life time and I never had a dog hop up and pee on my bed and this is about the 4rd time ive found this even using different sheets didn't help!

I have never had a dog with this problem, but everything you said sounds just like a cat I used to own. She would pee on the bed after I washed the sheets and she would also pee on the bath mats when I washed those or when I bought new sheets or mats. It was VERY annoying. I think it had something to do with her trying to mark her territory. I guess when I would wash things she couldn't smell herself on them anymore. I never did figure out how to make her quit peeing on the bath mats; I just ended up having to pick the mats up and put them away, but with the bed when i washed the sheets I would put her on the bed while I was putting the sheets on and play with her. After she ran around on the clean sheets and laid on them for a while it seemed to do away with her urge to mark on them (if it was territory. I don't really know). I don't know if this would work for a dog, but it might not hurt.
