Dog's gone off the deep end...

My girlfriend has a 3 year old miniature dogson(sorry, no idea how to spell it). The dog has never liked me, it barks all the time whenever i go over, but it was always decent around me. I went over yesterday, and it was going crazy. If it was in the same room as me, it would bare its teeth and snarl and growl at me...if i got near it it would lunge and bite me...got bit probably 3 times. It also had this really scared look all the time. Eventually, I was able to get it on my lap(it was still baring its teeth and snapping, but i wanted to make friends with it) and it was just shaking like crazy, it was so weird. But the whole time it was still nice to my girlfriend. It also kept humping a stuffed animal, but thats another story...

Anyways, I was talking to her today(my girlfriend, not the dog), and she said that Gracie(the dog) is now doing that to her. She adopted a little stuffed chicken. She spent hours just laying on the couch with it tucked under her chin. If the dog was picked up, she would whine until she had the chicken again. If my girlfriend walked by the dog, she'd growl and bite. She also went after my girlfriend's sister.

Also, she hasn't urinated at all today.

Is this sudden change in behavior anything to worry about?

For a sudden change in behavior coupled with a lack of urination today, I believe I would call my vet. Now. You really want to rule out physical problems first - and the lack or urination makes me think there is something possibly going on.

Any sudden change in behavior, I believe, calls for an evaluation by a vet.
