My Pomeranian Has Somethign Wrong

• My Pomeranian Has Somethign Wrong Dafne Posted : 7/13/2006 8:16:10 PM please. if anyone is on i need some help. hes a 4 yr old pom, well. Lets start with the basics. I have 2 pomeranians, one female one male. My female is now pregnant once more, the fourth time. Expected date Sep 1. I just created an account to ask this question, and who knows..perhaps more will come up. Well, as for my pom Kero he is starting to act strange. He will tuck in his tail and begin to circle. Then rest underneath my computer chair. He will sniff his behind and then rest. At times he will growl cuase he does not want to go outside. I have to close the door and sit myself down to get him to walk over. He then will hide his face behind my back. I know something is hurting him somewhere around his behind, but im not sure what. Im not rich, and cant offerd a vet. >.< so, if anyone can help me that'll be a very big thanks. For now, I am going to bathe him..see if that helps. • Julitza Posted : 7/13/2006 8:35:27 PM I know some other members can be a big help, and correct me if im wrong but can it be an anal gland problem? If this is the problem you definately need to see a vet because you willnot be able to fully express them yourself, and you will need to go so the vet can teach you to express them so the next time they dont get as full. Hope this helps.   P.S. I dont think it was necessary to say you have a Pom female that is expecting a 4th litter and that you have no money for a vet. Prepare to get a stern lecture from the members.   all I can say on the subject is that I hope your bitch doesnt ever have problems whelping because if she does im sure you will not take her to the vet and you will lose her and the pups. Spay and neuter them both, shelters can usually be VERY reasonable in their prices to spay/neuter dogs. He hates the vet, me and my mom are the ones raising them. Yes we did want to Spay and neuter becuase we didn't want more. But it was too late =( anyways, thanks alot. Ive heard its very yucky to do but it will definately relieve his discomfort a bit.   I take it you are young? Dont worry I am too, im only 18. Now Im not going to give you the standard lecture of 'Have the dogs been health tested, proven, AKC registered and so on because you probably have no say in if the dogs get bred or not. My parents did not want more either, but my uncle then called me a day before we were going to go to Mexico and he says "your a aunt again" and when I look outside both my dogs were connected. =( We went outside but it was to late, Luna (female pom) is not getting, heavier. Anyways, as for Kero..my aunt told me that by sqeezing his anal and some liquid comes out? Im not sure, but ill look into the grooming thing. • sooner Posted : 7/13/2006 9:04:16 PM It's not as simple as squeezing and liquid coming out. Please see a groomer or vet who can show you how to do it properly at least for the first time. Oh yes, another thing...Kero at times will also begin to bite his paws. Well, the under side of it. He will flip it and just begin to bite it. o.o?  It stopped, and we thought it was over..but just this morning I witnissed him doing it again. So im sure i'll be taking him somewhere very soon then. As for shampoo, i've been using the one his vet gave me, for a dog whom has lots of hair he gets knots, and thos I cute..but cutting his paws if matted, hmm..i i'll look into that after his bath =) thanks again everyone. It looks like a big cute, its sticky and its a whole..but, im not sure how to discribe. Well, his anus seems to be ok but beside it, seems to be another whole. ? Thats not supposed to be there, right. OK. my mom called my aunt (owns poms pup) she told her about it, aunt is calling her poms Carinos vet about it. If it is really seriosly, since my mom adores Kero she is going to take him to the vet early morning tomorrow.
