Hi - I've read quite a few posts on this site and I'm starting to get an idea about some of the things that cause problems with dogs. I've got a few ideas (listed below) about what I think could be factors in the behaviour of my mother's dog (she inherited Sophie from her own mother a few years ago).
Notes & Symptoms
--------------------
- Sophie is a small 10 year old miniature poodle
- Sometimes goes toilet inside (white carpets - you can imagine how well this is recieved)
- Mum says exclusively happens in winter time (poor thing might not want to go outside on the cold wet grass)
- Stands by door usually if wants to let us know it needs to go
- Has some issues with status (snapped at me and my brother a couple of times - if mum wasn't around it would have been launched straight in the pool)
Mum loves the dog and would be sorry to see it go - Dad is thinking that he'd like the dog to go and the more the dog craps on the carpet the more likely this is to happen. It would be great to hear some informed opinions on what might be done to change the behaviour of the dog.
Thanks in advance,
Duncan
