But never heard of the laying on your feet thing. My Jake (an 18-month-old yellow lab) is always at my feet. Usually laying on them. I just thought he liked to be near me     Of course your dog likes to be near you. Jessie is a GSD-Beagle-Lab cross and she lays on our feet while looking up at us with a very loving expression; I'm positive she's doing it out of love and not dominance, just as your dog is.
