    Few More Questions

I have a few more questions.  I know everyone probably expects it though because I'm new to the board.

    1.  My girlfriend has a chihuahua that's about 2+ years old and brodie has met him and is always up for playing with him but her dog doesn't like it and is very much a resource gaurder.  Will Brodie learn to just let him do his thing and do his own thing and only play when the other dog wants to?  Her roommate also has a pekignese that's is similar but not a resource gaurder just doesn't really want to play with the bigger pup in Brodie.

    2.  Brodie likes to constantly tip his food bowl over to eat.  Is this something he will grown out of or should I start doing something to correct him?

    Thanks again for any help!

on question #1? how big is the pup? if its not a HUGE size difference my advice would be to ler the chihuahua handle him. with a few snaps and growls the pup will learn he is to be gentle with the chihuahua and to leave him alone. But if its a big size difference maybe the other members can tell you how to deal with this?

but about his tipping over the food, for most dogs this is a puppy thing that they will outgrow, unless you have a future frenzy eater on your hands, which could be a bit of a problem because they are dying to eat ALL the food at once which can get very messy

Thanks for the reply.  Sorry I didn't post it before, but Brodie is an Airedale Terrier.  Right now he is probably twice the size as the chihuahua (Logan), at least in weight.  Brodie backs away pretty quick when Logan snaps at him.  Brodie's main problem is that he like to put his paw and leg over the other dog's back, which I've read is a big no-no.
Also about the food tipping over, it seems as though he just likes to search a little more for his food.  He generally is not a huge eater.  He will often stop eating before he finishes his bowl.

if he is still fairly young, he will still be respectful of the older dog no matter what the size. When I was living with my mother and we got Laika (our Golden) we had a mutt the size of a larger type chihuahua, and as she got bigger she got much rougher in her games. Being a big dog we were worried she would hurt the smaller one, but that little mutt quickly put that big girl in her place
