    Biting at ankles

Hello everyone! This is my first post and I'm sorry I don't have a picture but they aren't on my computer yet.  I have an Airedale Terrier puppy that is 15 weeks old today.  I've always wanted an Airedale and I finally have one.
I'm not so sure I was as prepared as I thought though.  He has been doing well with obedience training and crate training.  One thing though that he has been doing a lot espicially the last month is biting and mine and my girlfriends ankles and pant legs and shoes.  I try to lure him away with a toy when he starts doing that, but it doesn't seem to be working to well.  I don't think it's teething b/c it's much different and more deliberate than it was when i first got him.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks all and I'm glad I found this site.

ummm........yea I think it is teething.  And it takes time + tons of training.
15 weeks is pretty young...... My pup didn't stop until she was a few months old like 4-5.  I believe with the right training, it will stop eventually when it get older.  I did the toy thing, walk out of the room, ignore and etc.  Though like I had always mention and reply back to other member's post.  What worked for me is, looking serious, staying still, looking upset, eye contact and telling the pup no/ etc.  Wish you luck.  [&:]

One of the best ways to reduce mouthiness in puppies is to provide them with more exercise, preferably playing with other puppies.
A tired dog is a good dog!

When/If he looks as if he is going to bite or physically does so (do not hit - this is reinforcing the retaliation behaviour) - Scream out "OUCH" - then "NO BITE" in very stern voice.

I think I read some-where also that you can get a spray and spray it onto your clothes and dogs don't like the taste of it I will try and find where I read it.

Thanks for the help guys.  I do have some spray, some bitter apple but I'm not so sure that he doesn't like it.  I do yell ouch, or try to at least, sometimes it really does hurt so I say ouch even though I may not mean to.  Thanks again for the help.
