Suggestions for 8 mo Westie snapping

We have 3 Westies - a 9yr old, 4yr old and a 8 month old puppy who is starting to show aggression when she sleeps on our bed at night.  When my husband comes to bed after we are all sleeping she snaps at him when he tries to move her.  She is not food aggressive just acts weird when she is in our bed.

She's thinking she's ruling the roost over there, isn't she??

First, no bed for awhile, she needs to earn that.

Second, I would work on making her earn everything she gets.  If she wants food, she should sit and wait until told "OK" to begin eating.  If she wants to go thru a door, she should sit and wait until the door opens.  Basically, anything she wants, even to be pet, she should "earn" by doing at least one command that she knows.

The method is called Nothing In Life Is Free and it really works.  You can look online and find all kinds of information, sometimes it's abbreviated, NILIF.

You definately want to get a handle on this now because if she continues to think she's the boss, she will become more difficult in other areas as well.
