    question re. playing

I try get my 11week old puppy to play with my gf's dog every day so that he gets used to being around another dog - basically they spend hours going at each other, playing with toys etc. My question is this - he seems to be the one who s always going for the play biting - he s constantly at her head - she never cries or anyhting so I do not think its real biting but still, is it normal that he does this? thats his only form of playing it seems - he s obsessed with her and wont let her for a second.. alwayus gng for the head and biting.. she seems to not be bothered as she 'bites' back, never fiercely.. and when he does move off she goes to him with a toy to start him off again so i think its just playing

but i was wondering if that is how they play? he met another dog last week who wasnt playful at all and he kept gng at her head and tail as well - she got pissed off at one point and almost bit him.. is he overly aggressive or is it normal?

    cheers
    Andrew

Until he gets to be about 4 months old or so, the older dog is going to give him "puppy license"....basically, "oh, he's just a kid, he doesn't know better", but at SOME point, she's gonna put him in his place and then he or she will "run the show".  For now, yep, this is normal but I would avoid letting him annoy OTHER dogs who don't know and love him.

thats how jake plays.  he play bites our hands, gently.  but he also does it to faces so im teaching him to not do it at all.  hes a year old though.
