    Releasing on Furniture

My 6 month year old puppy is becoming very rebellious or maybe just absent minded.  She's finally started releasing herself outdoors regularly but today she's released on the furniture 3 times. Once on the couch and two times on the bed. I haven't allowed her to sit on the furniture since she's started doing this but the last time she jumped up on the bed released and then ran. Before, when she didn't know to go outdoors to release she at least did it on the floor and very rarely on furniture pieces. She's now in a restricted area where she'll stay for the rest of the night. What could be wrong and what should I do?

This is more than just an elimination issue.  I say this because of the locations that she went to the bathroom.  Your puppy is making a statement, and she is telling you that she needs more structure and MUCH LESS freedom.  She should either be on a leash with you or in a crate...all of the time...

You have just given to much freedom to fast. How is the obedience training going?

Barring any physical problem, which it sounds as if this isn't, then I agree with Mic that you probably need to consider going back to Housetraining 101, and to enforcing some gentle discipline.  Do you have classes available that you could enroll in for a refresher?
