Hello. I'm posting here because I'm not really sure what to do. As you can tell from my tag I'm more of a bird person, but I love dogs too. Well anyway onto the situation I'm having. My family has a female rottweiler named Baya (Bey-yuh) and we've had her for over 2-3 years and we are the second owners. I am unsure of her actual age ,but she is not old. I'll number things so it's easy to follow.
1. She loves playing with me and doesn't mind when I am downstairs, but the moment I touch my mother or siblings she starts to bark or she will stare intently waiting to move in.
2. She also chases me up the steps sometimes barking even if I just walk up them sometimes her hair is standing up.
3. She even barks and runs at me as I'm walking out the front door.
4. When everyone is away on vacation she hides from me upstairs. The only time she'll come down is when she has to pee and she stays low to the ground while being timid.
I have never hit the dog or given her reason to fear or hate me. I really don't know why it's just me. I just want to fix the situation and I figure an informed move is better than making one on my own and making it worse. Thank you!
