Licking non-stop

• Licking non-stop KELLY Broomhead Posted : 4/13/2006 12:47:45 PM Zuni loves to lick ... at first I thought it was a sign of affection ... but now she licks you just about every time she approaches you.  We call it her snake move, because her tongue moves as fast as a snake when she does it ...  Could it be anxiety? nervousness? • hollie LaTour Posted : 5/8/2006 4:08:56 PM Hi there, my b/f and I have two 7month old husky puppies. We got them at 8weeks old and from the minute we picked them up they have always been compulsive lickers too. We thought at first it was a puppy thing and they would grow out of it, however it seems they are getting more determined as they get older. My b/f takes the brunt of it, he's a dj and the second he gets back home its like the girls are trying to lick the 'club' smell off of him. They jump on him in the morning and lick his face and neck until he is forced to get up, and if they can't get to his face they'll lay on him and lick his hands/arms for hours if he'd let them. Is this normal for the breed? And does anyone know how to tame this behaviour?
