    Barking Issues

Have not find proper guides in order to control barking issues

I cannot manage to think how can I make dog stop barking with the clicker for example

I prefer a positive method. I believe there are method based on electric charges with bark sensors but I'm not really into that.

But maybe is the only solution... any ideas?

Shock collars are NOT the way to go.  For all the reasons why, read this page: http://www.hollysden.com/say-no-to-shock-collars.htm.

Instead, go to YouTube and find Kikopup Channel.  She has a five episode video series on barking that may help you.  Here's the first episode:

There's a lot you can do without a bark collar.  First, train the dog TO bark on cue, then train the dog to be quiet/stop barking on cue.  If my dog barks, I verbally correct him.  If he stops then I praise him or give him a reward if one is available. If he continues barking after I've verbally corrected, then I go over and take him by the collar and put him somewhere else without giving him any other interaction (no physical punishments, no talking to him).  Then he has to stay away from me and whatever he is barking at until I am satisfied he can have another chance.

the first step to stopping the barking is figuring out what is triggering it in the first place

I have a Corgi. A notorious barker. I let her alarm bark 3x and then I tell her, its nothing and I got it covered. Also, we live in an apartment so she has been taught no barking period. A couple weeks ago, someone tried to break in and Toots gave 3 half-barks and that was it. The cat was actually the one who woke me. Go figure, huh?
