Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find many threads on it.
Has anyone been successfull with bark devices that emit a high-pitched tone instead of shocking the dog? I'm skeptical whether they work or not. When I take Piper to my apartment next semester I am afraid her barking will anger my neighbors. She barks constantly when I leave, so she must have some sort of anxiety about being alone.
She is an extremely timid dog, so I am afraid a shock/vibration collar will make her even more afraid of things.
My concern is that the ultrasonic pitch will damage her hearing?
